Photo-Impressionism Research

As a result of a nasty e-mail from someone claiming to have a legal right to restrict who and how people can use the phrase "photo impressionism" I thought I would research the historic roots of this photographic genre. My Google Notebook containing search results can be found by CLICKING HERE. If you would like to contribute leave your results here as a comment or contact me by e-mail add your comments to  the Notebook.

My Artist's Statement: Photo-impressionism at the Contact Photography Festival

May 3rd marks the beginning of my exhibition of photo-impressionistic images as part of Toronto's Contact Photography Festival. I have recently posted my artist's statement which describes the thinking that has lead me to photo-impressionism and why I use it to document images of the hustle and bustle of street life in New York and Paris as well as other every day scenes.

The goal of this blog...

The goal of this blog is to collect and share digital fine art photography and digital darkroom ideas with an emphasis on photo-impressionism, travel and nature photography. Participation is welcomed.
